BRAD'S STORY
Created from our experience to provide health tips and inspiration to those dealing with cancer, Caregivers, Family and Friends.

I Am Brad's Wife
I created this website to save folks time. What took me years to compile will hopefully save others years of searching for answers. I hope Brad’s Story offers insight, options, and possible avenues to explore—each person’s situation is unique. My wish is that it helps readers gain a better understanding of what may lie ahead, and feel more empowered in their own health decision-making.
I have done my utmost to gather this information from sources I believe to be trustworthy. In your own research, please be diligent in cross-checking any website. A good rule of thumb: if there are no citations from doctors or peer-reviewed studies, confirm with reliable databases such as PubMed or Memorial Sloan Kettering’s online resources. For example, if I type “blueberries and aspirin interactions” in the search bar, I can find any published studies on that topic, including known interactions. This is one way to help determine if information is credible.
Sadly, there are many websites that prey on vulnerable people, pretending to have a cure for all types of cancer. My intention here is not to provide medical advice, but to share our personal journey and the resources we found useful along the way.
I (Nicola) hold certifications in:
-
Integrative Medicine in Support of Cancer Care (Alternative to Integrative)
-
Cannabis for Pain Control (Technion – Israel Institute of Technology)
-
Basic Nutrition (HSI)
These certificates reflect coursework and learning; they do not constitute medical licensure. The Technion is world-renowned for its cannabis research and other holistic studies, and has compiled many published studies on these topics.
I am also a certified Imerman Angel Mentor, part of a Chicago-based organization that connects people (or their caregivers) with others who have similar or the same type of cancer. Imerman Angels is a wonderful source of support, and I am proud to be an associate.
I recommend anyone in need of connection or emotional support to reach out to them:
