🌿 Peppermint for Cooling & Nausea
Why I Love It
Peppermint has been a refreshing, go-to scent in our home for years. Its crisp aroma instantly brings a cooling sensation — a welcome relief during warm days, stuffy moments, or those times when the air just feels heavy. I’ve also found it to be a comforting scent when feeling unsettled or queasy.
How I Use It
-
For cooling: A drop of peppermint essential oil in a bowl of cool water, then a damp cloth placed on the back of the neck or forehead.
-
For nausea: Simply inhaling the aroma — either from the bottle, a diffuser, or a cotton ball — can feel calming.
-
In blends: Mixed with a carrier oil for a light massage along the temples, shoulders, or feet.
A Few Tips
-
Always dilute essential oils before applying to skin.
-
Keep away from eyes and sensitive areas.
-
A little goes a long way — peppermint is potent.
