Blog: Traditional Herbal Medicine in Supportive Cancer Care — From Alternative to Integrative
I’m thrilled to share that I’ve applied for another course with Technion:“Traditional Herbal Medicine in Supportive Cancer Care: From Alternative to Integrative.”(Fingers and toes crossed I’m awarded a scholarship again!)
This course is close to my heart. It’s designed for people like me — those who believe in the power of diet and holistic support but also recognize the value of conventional medicine. It's not about choosing one over the other; it's about bridging the gap between two worlds.
Personally, I believe that what a person holds true in their heart plays a huge role in healing. If Grandma says to gargle with salt for a sore throat — and you believe it will help — then there's healing power in that. Double-blind studies and meta-analyses from around the world support the idea that belief, expectation, and mindset can influence outcomes. And yes — I truly believe Grandma knows best!
For me, this journey isn’t just about learning — it’s also about being a safe, informed voice in a space where bad advice can spread quickly (especially online). I hope to become a bridge for others, especially in places where conventional medicine still feels like the only option.
Let’s keep moving forward — together — with curiosity, respect, and open minds.📷❤️ Wishing you all a great day! 📷😊
